Dear Penny,

You’re the best friend a person could ever have.  We can talk about anything.  I can come to you with anything and I can trust you and I hope you can trust me.  I feel safe when you’re around.  It’s like you protect me.  You can run to me with any problem.  We’re best friends.

I am an only child and my parents are divorced.  My dad has me every other weekend.  And he has a wife named Audrey.  My mom’s mom and dad live in Parkersburg and I don’t get to see them very much.  My dad’s mom and dad live in  Madison and I see them a lot.  My dad works in the coal mines and my mom does not work.  My dad’s mom and dad both work.  My nana is dad’s mom, and she works at the Atless building in Charleston, and my papaw works in the coalmines.  My mom’s mom and dad are both retired.
